Areaware Bookend

When I lived in Newport, RI, I would oft frequent the RISD Museum and the risd:store–there is also the risd:store 3d, which is sort of like a hardware store. The risd:store is part art-supply store and part museum shop. In the museum shop part I saw Henry Julier’s Reference Bookend. I thought it was fabulous. I have two pairs–red and black. The “red” is a terrible, pale, muted, sickly color, which I have considered spray painting a better color. The black is nice.

This is a very nice bookend. I think you’ll like it too. It holds books well. It looks good. I like that no part of it goes underneath the books it supports. It’s something else.
