Dining Pavilion

I happened upon this dining pavilion in Brisbane, Australia. It is behind the 1 William Street Tower, which upon my cursory research is a Queensland government building with numerous government departments as tenants. Wikipedia tells me that Woods Bagot is the architecture firm responsible for the project.

It is spectacular. The overlapping jalousie windows are thick, laminated, double-pane jobs. The roof is beautiful and has rocks and plants on it. It is a symphony in glass and steel and, presumably, aluminum. Go to Queensland and see it for yourself.

I liked Queensland very much. The people there have a very different comportment than those of Sydney and Melbourne, which I found compelling; slower–more relaxed and considerate. Australia is a very pleasant country.
