Straw Mushroom Lamp (Peeled)

A DIY Collaboration between Myself and a Local Artist

I greatly admire the atmospheric effect of a lamp with an opaque shade.

I was in Good Omen Coffee in North Park in San Diego and saw a vase for sale by a local artisan that I greatly admired. So I bought it. The potter left a note on a thermal sleeve by her works that said she welcomes commissions and left her Instagram handle. So I slid into her DM and briefed her. She was excited about the brief and produced me a worthwhile shade. With some electrical know how I mated the vase to the shade and made a enviable lamp. It looks like a straw mushroom (peeled).

Who wouldn’t want one of these? I am trying to get her to make more that we my sell them.
